The CIty of Macon is excited to release a preliminary rendering of the municipal pool project and expect construction to begin on park property at 903 West Bourke Street as early as July.
Features of the new facility include: a large flume slide, family slide, wellness/current channel, 1M diving board, basketball hoop, 5 swim lanes, zero depth entry, bathhouse, concession, and admissions. There is also a private cabana available to rent for birthday celebrations!
A splashpad is included that can extend beyond the regular pool hours and swim season as the gating allows for the splashpad to be open to the public outside of regular pool hours. The new pool is slated to open for the 2024 swim season and we look forward to seeing construction begin!
